The Beware of Doug loop, high up on Draper's "Far Side" inside a tangle of hiking-only dog trails, has a singletrack connector down to the gravel Deer Ridge road. Almost nobody knows the connector is there. Got info for you here: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/Bewar...

The Firefly Bike Park (located just south of Cedar Fort off SR 73) is great fun! Three DH runs vary from Easy to Upper-intermediate to Nutso Expert. But finding your way to the parking area needs a bit of explaining. Info: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/Firef...

Littles Creek at Joes Valley is open, with 10 miles of new singletrack. The trail system was built for mountain bikes, although it's open to all non-motorized users. The riding is pretty and mellow. Info: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/littl...

Checking out the new #304-305 DH trail at Mueller Park. 2.4 miles, 900 vertical. Looped through Peregrine for a 9 mile 1500-vert ride. Very nice for a trail that's still looking for a name. Info at: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/muell...

Dobbins Way is open. This one-mile route links Mayors Trail of the Traverse Mountain system to Ann's Connector of Draper's trail system. Flat riding but nice views. A big deal for XC enthusiasts who enjoy ranging all over Traverse Mountain. Info: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/dobbi...

Dead Horse Point has added new trails to 6 viewpoints on the eastern side of the park. The trails vary from very easy to sorta hard. The scenery is wow. Info: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/dead-...

The new intermediate-rated Breaks Trail (named after the cliffs, not the bike part) at Cedar City's Iron Hills is legit fun. 950 vert over 3.4 miles starting at the top of Tombstone. Info here: utahmountainbiking.com/trails/breaks/

Hey, do you know about this? As of 2025, a valid Utah hunting or fishing license is required to ride your bike inside a Wildlife Management Area (WMA). For example, the Timpanogos foothill trails above northeastern Orem are now a "fee area" and a fishing license is your "yearly pass."

It died today. Before there was a UtahMountainBiking shop in Lehi, or a UMB racing team, this was my winter trainer. The variable resistance control went bad years ago, and today the roller seized up solid. Lots of "miles" on this thing, over... 25 years? #basementbiking
