#sportsphotography Kennedy Weatherby is a photographer for The Daily Texan and was at the UT/A&M football game last week. (ICYMI, the Longhorns won 27-17 and brought the all-time series record to 78–37–5 in UT's favor. Also, UT has an undefeated record vs the Aggies since 2011.)

Roy Blount Jr. is funnier than you are. But don't feel bad because he's funnier than almost everybody. His book about hanging out with the Pittsburgh Steelers, "Three Bricks Shy of a Load," was declared a classic of American football writing and a masterpiece of New Journalism.

Roy Blount, Jr. is the author of 24 books, including About Three Bricks Shy . . . And the Load Filled Up, his 1974 account of hanging out w/the Pittsburgh Steelers. This book has been cited as a classic of American football writing and one of the masterpieces of New Journalism.

The Jenkins Medal jury cited Thompson's ESPN article Caitlin Clark and Iowa Make Peace in the Process (espn.com/womens-colle...) as the best sportswriting of 2024. Thompson won the inaugural 2017 Best Sportswriting medal for his profile on Tiger Woods. jenkinsmedal.com
