Despite the slow progress (which wasn't helped by the elden ring dlc dropping), I am actually super happy with the outcome. The idea was pretty fully formed and mostly unchanged from start to finish. I will 100% not learn my lesson and do more grueling perspective work in the future. :3

Sketchbook pg.7

Finally, we have caught up to the present. This was the most grueling piece by far and brought what was previously some of my most productive weeks of drawing to a screeching halt. The tiny, tiny perspective details felt like an impossible hurdle. But I did eventually pull through.

The original designs for pg.6 did not come close to what it became, and as you can see, this was a realization I came to pretty late in the process. It simply looked too flat, and while a rework of my shading could've added some depth, I believe I made the right call to redesign it entirely.

While the feeling of pg.4 still stands as my favorite, this is without a doubt my overall favorite thing I have drawn to date. As I slowly marched closer to the edges of the page with each drawing, I became more and more enveloped on the world I created.

Sketchbook pg.5

I truly believe i managed to follow up pg.4 with a piece just as good that held the same sense of wonder and awe without repeating the same beat. One of my best to date.

Some discarded sketches I had done to visualize what I wanted for pg.4 which ended up making a small comeback in the next page's drawing.

Sketchbook pg.4

THIS was the turn. With this piece I found the vision I had been chasing and made it real, which continues to influence each piece after it and those still to come. I cannot stress enough the simplest beauty I find within this scene. Pure serenity.

Sketchbook pg.3

I don't have anything special to add for this one lol. I love how it turned out but it really mostly came from a place of just "i like how this looks" more than any feeling or idea.

Sketchbook pg.2

This one was the start to a transition to my current style. It's a very personal piece but definitely the simplest thus far.

Sketchbook pg.1

Starting a new sketchbook is always daunting, but I think I did a good job here. It's definitely an outlier though, as my style grew and changed with each drawing that came after. Going back I would've done some things differently, but hindsight is 20/20. :P
