Day 2 atmosphere was pretty intense, especially when the final hanchan saw a table that had both the current #1 and #2 players seated together. #2 Max pushed hard and took the win

The format - 3 cities, 40 players each, top 5 getting a seat in an ARML online competition that would award a spot in WRC 2025. But it wasn't just a WRC seat at stake - World Riichi League itself is creating a program for Americans to become certified as pro players

Riichi mahjong competition in the US is having a busy 2025. We hosted the ARA Invitational in January to find out which 16 Americans would play for the US in the world championship. But once WRL USA was announced, this wasn't the last chance to earn a seat.
