Growing up in Utah as a person of color the racism was very subtle, behind the scenes or hidden in the doctrine of the religion they follow. Don't get me wrong, Utah is a racist state. Embedded in their cultural and religion is the belief people of color are interior.

Brown people in Utah are easily identified amongst the predominantly white population. It's tough on the best of circumstances being a person of color in Utah.
