Majestic trees at the Kubota Japanese Garden in Washington State. Fall weather in October and some trees are starting to turn yellow, orange, or red.

I don't remember who posted this originally, but I was so angry last night.
Letter from Texas General Land Office to Pres-Elect DJT. Subject: Texas offering 1,400 acres of land adjacent to the TX-Mexico border for construction of deportation facilities. Basically this office surveyed several island on the Rio Grande River and declared them part of TX and now that's where the deportation facility should be built because we "stopped cartels from using the island".

Just some pictures of the PNW from back in October.
Fallen tree has seemingly sprouted hundreds of baby trees in a cycle of decay giving way to life. Unsure of species of tree. A dark red or maroon mushroom (bolete?) in a bed of moss that looks like baby ferns. Smaller yellow tent like mushrooms growing to the right of the bolete. Two white, flat top mushrooms growing beneath the primary mushroom. I think this shelf mushroom is part of the ganoderma family. It is growing among moss on a fallen log.

Look at my pretty tree! No I will not fix the skirt or reposition the tree. The kids and dogs will just mess it up anyway.
Christmas tree decorated with black, gold, iridescent, and teal ornaments with a black sequin tree skirt. All nestled in the curve of our grand staircase 🙄 And a sad tennis ball the dogs forgot.
