“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” —L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables.

This was taken on a beautiful October day, and all these leaves have since fallen; glad to have found this on my camera. #photography #nature #tree #leaves #fall #autumn #yellow

This katydid was easy to see as it was the only leaf on the shovel handle. #photography #katydid #insect #leafbug #nature #green

Shadow cat for October. My cat's silhouette while sitting on the top of a round fence post taken years ago. Even though he was a tabby, the sun had set behind the mountain creating a great shadow cat figure for the camera. #photography #cat #silhouette #shadow #nature

Many years ago a wonderful neighbor gave us this homemade birdhouse made out of natural resources. Bluebirds used it for years. I placed it among my climbing wisteria plant on top of a simple 6X4 board pergola. #photography #birdhouse #wisteria #nature #flowers

That's beautiful! I guess Elizabeth Taylor's "Passion" perfume bottle may be based on this?

Monday morning observation...you don't have to be the showiest butterfly, largest flower, or loudest bumble bee, in order to be important in the grander scheme of things. #photography #nature #flower #beetle #insect #bloom

Lots of cactus flowers. I brightened up the photo a bit since it was taken right before the sun came up. June 2024. Waiting for the same cactus to bloom in a couple of weeks. #photography #cactus #flowers #blooming

I have struggled on what to say on this day as I do not like to include the word "happy" as it sounds out of place to me, so here are some Coreopsis on this Memorial Day, with gratitude and honor. #flowers #coreopsis #nature #photography #memorial_day #asters #blooming

These spiderwebs/cobwebs were full of raindrops this morning. They were sparkly in the sunlight. Nature is full of magical scenes of everyday events. Sorry, I know the pictures aren't that great and are a bit confusing. #photography #raindrops #nature #abstract #juniper #spiderweb

I took this cropped photo of a honey bee on my hummingbird feeder last Dec. I used to take my feeder down during the winter, but over time, I started seeing more bees, hummingbirds, (and bugs in general), about, so now I leave my feeder up all year. #photography #honey_bee #honeybee #nature #bee
