I just had my power delivery unit go out on my 2020 Nissan leaf. The AC charging unit went dead so I could only charge using a chademo fast charger. Not ideal. Luckily I got it to the dealership with 2 days before our warranty expired. So they covered the whole thing and had it fixed in a week.

Also we only have 150 mile range, or about a 110 miles going 75 on the freeway. So some days with lots of early morning errands can really drop the charge down. Being able to charge it back up in a few hours has saved us a few times.

I installed a level 2 smart charger because my 2020 Nissan leaf has no charging control in the car settings. I don't want to keep charging the battery to 100% so I installed a smart charger so I can set the charge percentage when I plug in and have it stop when it gets to around 80%.

Most SME's don't think they are SME's because they know how much they don't know and are willing to share that fact. Which makes them more trustworthy.

Ordered right away but won't get until summer. But at least I'll finally be able to toss my old incandescent lights next year.
