Did my claiming and saw the outfit...

I also will not be taking questions.

They pushed this out so people would stop complaining Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won "Best Art Direction" for an Unreal Engine 5 game by showing how bad it could be without said art direction.

I'm downloading all 92GB and then whatever updates have to happen on boot for it today for the free agent too. Only Hoyoverse game worth anything, IMO, but I'd still rather play anything else in the backlog.

PS5 ain't going anywhere. Great console. I love my PS5. The PS5 Pro was an incredibly hubristic release and I feel like they haven't learned their lesson. Really, I'm just rooting for the acceleration of a complete revamping of the "AAA" video game development ecosystem.

I also do not "fw" PC.

And it'll be $69.99/€69.99.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: Switch 2 Edition. It'll be even more HDer. They sold you Super Mario Galaxy a second time if you owned Super Mario 3D All-Stars, now they need to sell you Super Mario Galaxy 2 again.

Absolutely no shame in supporting independent artists.

Really the only way to get "cheap" games now is physical media since it still takes physical space in a store/warehouse that is vastly more limited and expensive than additional digital space to host the game.
December 29, 2025 at 4:20 AM
This was kind of the plan all along with digital game adoption...it's the same as Doctorow's "Enshittification" concept: sell every game for $2, then as the monopoly forms, gouge the price more and more since one storefront controls 75% of PC game market share.

It's a good thing!

You're an inspiration to us all, DomiKAV!

Okay, that's one Scherapost I missed (her new look is so good though). And you're trying to tell me Olivier ISN'T peak??
December 27, 2025 at 1:48 AM
I'm curious how much Scheraposting I missed by having to mute your hashtags...

Too many gamers are hypnotized by the "culture industry" and unless it follows various formulas, it simply does not garner the attention or actual critique (critique other than it being "different") that it deserves. I think it's a cultural consumption issue more than anything.

Absolutely here for the ArtiKAV arc 😤
December 24, 2025 at 7:31 PM
But you're right that folks are generally not great at recommending games to others.
December 23, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Thanks for saying this; this was going to be my counterpoint.

The Tunnel by William H. Gass. Next reprint is due out in April w/a collection of essays about the novel and an audiobook.

In addition I don't think he got married to her until way after Gravity's Rainbow.
December 22, 2025 at 6:16 AM
Was she his editor too? I thought she was just his agent.

CrossCode is the poster-child for this.

And Vesperia is "one of the good ones" in spite of the pacing issues. Who would've thought forcing the party to split up and having you talk to everyone and then an hour of yapping in every town wasn't the best gameplay?
December 19, 2025 at 10:00 PM
That's right, you've talked about this before and I've responded to it recommending Tales of Symphonia (one of my 🐐s). Vesperia's pacing is so so bad, Berseria is great from what I've played (probably like 20 hours), Zesteria is just miserable all-around, and Abyss is good!
December 19, 2025 at 9:50 PM
Great, great choices. I would LOVE to play Xenogears and Xenosaga someday as well but there's just so much to play!

Have you considered the Tales (of) series at all?
