The Stamp Act resulted in tax collectors being covered in tar and feathers.
When the British troops arrived to confiscate the firearms of protestors at Lexington and Concord, they resisted.

These were patriotic acts.

Parts of the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement are being "consolidated" under DOI and of course, DOGE. This Bureau was created under SMCRA in 1977 to preserve and reclaim lands devastated by centuries of irresponsible coal mining. We feel this is an attempt to dismantle OSMRE.

On April 9th, 2025, in an Interior "All-Hands" meeting, Secretary Burgum talked A LOT about energy dominance as though that was a primary function of DOI, even though the primary natural resource DOI is supposed to protect is the natural beauty of this great country.

Some offices have cut hundreds of thousands of dollars from projects to preserve jobs while also saving taxpayer dollars, but the administration just wants the people gone. How is this good for the economy? How is this good for America?
