Here's Madam Fraise Eclaire, my only rabbit oc.

I still haven't pinned down a finalized design for her. She's supposed to be like this vampiric necromancer that haunts an abandoned cabaret, but Idk how to fuse rabbit, vampire, and dancer together in her design.
This is Eclaires' current design. I wanted to use as many triangles throughout her design as possible, blending the more modern french cabaret dancer attire with motifs of universals Vlad Dracula. Her pointy bunny ears are supposed to invoke images of vampiric fangs, her 'pompedore' [idk how you spell that] is supposed to draw parallels to the iconic widows peak seen on the classic Universals interpretation on Dracula, in place of the usual feathery tail seen on French Cabaret dancers, I instead opted for a classic red 'cape' once again paralleling Classic Vampire tropes. That being said, outside of the feather head dress and the Playboy-inspired glitter leotard, I feel like it's failing to read as 'French Cabaret Dancer' Some of the rough sketches I made when trying to figure out Eclaires' design. As you can see, her vampiric pompadore and Playboy leotard were pretty easy to come up with. A few things I wanna highlight: - That pallet wheel in the top right. I usually come up with a good colour scheme via experimentation, and whenever I find a good combination of colours I like, I try to refine them in a colour wheel like this: with every other "extra" colour being some combination of the main three - The experimental sketches over on the left. Those were rough silhouette tests I made to try out any 'unproven' idea I had for her design without fully committing to each individual one. It's a standard practice in character design, albeit a more paired down one that doubles as a warmup exercise. The ones I liked are the coloured ones at the bottom, where I tried to develop them a bit further. - The couple of things I left out in this image, those being the self-made collages of rabbit characters, Vampires, and Cabaret dancers, each being their own separate layer in IbisPaint to use as brainstorming. One of my earliest character design sessions with Eclaire, back before I came up with the 'Vampiric Cabaret Dancer' concept, and before I really knew what I wanted for the character. All I was going for with this batch was that she was goth, she was french, and she had something to do with ghosts. This design was inspired by an outfit I saw in a Hot Topic: a white shirt and black tie with a pleated skirt and various emo accessories, like gloves, a cool belt, and some knee-high stockings. I put studded punk bands on her rabbit ears and a pair of punk boots to try and tie it all together into a gothy look The only thing French in her design is her black burette This was her last design, aside from her grey fur as opposed to her white fur, her weird cape design, and a lesbian haircut. It's more or less the same as her current design.
