Valve definitely has an issue in general with how internally inconsistent they can be when it comes to deciding what flies and what doesn't on their platform. Some of the decision-makers are firmly anti-anime, while others don't mind it as much and the lack of clear record means it's often a lottery

If you have "bad actors" who can "push the line" if you clearly communicate then you need to grow a fucking spine and maybe stand for something, like the spirit of your own goddamn rules.
This just sounds like neolib brainrot that believes in nothing but rules as written, treated as immutable fact.

As a side note, it seems like you can do what I did and pick up all the non-remastered LoK titles on GOG for very cheap currently. I paid less than £5 *total* for Blood Omen 1 and 2, Soul Reaver 2, and Defiance. Sadly, the best game of them that I played (SR1) is still not available...

Either way, this marks the third of five Legacy of Kain titles down. Time to brave the Blood Omen 2 and then Defiance! I didn't hear any good things about either of the two.

All of this sucks even more considering that *narratively*, the game is fantastic. In a lot of ways it calls back to the original Blood Omen while having enough of its own original story to serve as a very effective link between Soul Reaver and Blood Omen.

The Nosgoth of SR2 is simultaneously one long straight corridor, and extremely easy to get lost in. Very samey looking, winding passages without notable features mean that several times I found myself unsure if I'm headed the right way, in no small part because the camera was uncooperative at best.
