In 2013, before the ACA went into effect, 85.5% of Americans had health insurance. By 2016, that rate had risen to 91.4%.

Hurricanes like Melissa are not a one-off. The data shows a pattern.

There have been seven tropical storms and five hurricanes so far in 2025.

In the last decade (2015 to 2024), there was an average of 18 named storms a year in the Atlantic Ocean. That was the highest 10-year average on record.
