While I has to cancel the SOL meting in the last minute (missing Japan 😢) due to a health issue, our MSc student Lucas did great with his poster on the Solanum nigrum genome and put us in contact with Prof Park. Lucas will present an update of his work at PAG.

The potato problem is multiple long regions that are not heterozygous accross all phases. So one has to resolve this using orthogonal techniques. Korbinian Schneeberger did this using pollen data earlier. Rebecca used offspring data & looked at kmers and made this cool overview.
