Years later the building that used to be the same library (where a little library kid showed peaceful resistance and powerful courage) became… the Ronald E. McNair Life History Center, in honor of the legacy of our library friend, astounding astronaut, THE Ronald E. McNair 💛👨🏾🚀

The police were called on Ronald & his mother. When the police arrived, they asked library staff, “Why don’t you just let them checkout the books?” Ronald and his mom were reluctantly allowed to borrow the books.
