Deltarune spoilers// I've seen a few people talking about how the Kris SOUL reveal is gonna impact Susie--since, y'know, it would call her whole friendship with Kris into question--and I've got some thoughts I'd like to throw into the ring. Y'all remember that scene in Weird Route Chapter 4 where Susie, with barely-concealed paranoia, asks Kris about their conversation with Noelle? And then she sorta-kinda-jokingly-but-not-really tries to confirm that the conversation wasn't about her? We know Susie has struggled with being an outcast and having people talk bad about her behind her back (several NPCs in Hometown do so throughout all 4 chapters). Because she is insecure in her interpersonal relationships, it's natural to assume the SOUL reveal is going to be devastating for her...but we also need to consider whether the weird route differences will factor into that response. If Susie continues to notice Kris's unusual behavior, that gives the reveal a little more buildup. How will she respond differently if she realizes something is wrong before the reveal, as opposed to it being out of the blue?
