I don’t think it gas anything to do with security and everything with Nvidia’s profit. Here is the thing: Huawei will catch up to Nvidia eventually, so this could also help to prolong the advantage

Well, nobody said you don’t need actual programmers. Vibe coding is for programmers that know what they are doing. It’s improving productivity when used wisely.

Or it shows the dependence on foreign nations. So, yeah this will hurt. But maybe it should. The US did this before in the 1980s with the Japanese import cars... and guess what, the Japanese started to produce in the US.

The point is that they are illegal immigrants. The real question is why? We sort of need them but don't really want them? Or is it that these are jobs, nobody else would want to do, and you just sort of tolerate this? What is it?

I’m not defending, but Musk follows first principles - the same thing that got his rockets to land. So I interpret this as follows: in evolutionary terms, we could grow bigger brains if we weren’t limited by the birth canal.
