#JustWatched Road trip come buddy movie come treatise on familial grief. Elevated by excellent script, direction and two great central performances. Feels slight at the time (clocks in at 90 minutes) but still has you turning it over days later.

Absolutely dumb luck that this underappreciated neo-noir was released the same week in the US as Goodfellas. Stacked cast (Penn, Oldman, Wright, Harris), great photography and a Morricone score. Hasn't been available to stream for a long time, but now on Prime. Hard recommended.
