Oh maybe a 5 minute check in with everyone at the start might help set the tone of interactive session? With little check ins? In addition to polls have people provide a rationale for their answers. Or have them teach a small part to the group either volunteer or voluntold?

As a medical student- sometimes I’ve seen didactic sessions that just go on without breaks or built in ways to engage. I’m curious if you’ve had other instructors outside of medicine help you plan lessons? Or have you asked residents what would help them directly?
