Until there’s a good recipe for antlers, I’m after meat first and foremost.

That said, when I had a chance to choose between a 150 point mule deer buck and the doe he was courting, I took the buck.

Blink.

Wow.

I’ve always thought that hyper masculine sports were fundamentally homoerotic. So all this tracks!

Please tell me the name of this show.

For reasons.

Nice spike!

A full freezer makes life so much happier!

Statistically, at least one of these deer is infected with CWD. About 1/3.

One in six for white-tailed deer, being the misanthropes they are.

I save 25 k$ in construction costs by just freezing my fingers off and complaining on line each year!

Not something that can just happen.

Also, would need a *big* garage for the trailer.

An uninsulated garage has advantages when you get a deer in late November.

The cats were *very* excited.

If you're curious, Catcouver still has stock on the Cat 'Advent' calendars. shop.catcouver.com

(Advent in quotes, as my cats have a very different sense of the focus of the holidays. Or really any day. It's them).

Omg!

The whitetail are crepuscular - saw 2 emerge after sunset. There isn’t enough snow to force the mule deer from safety to the swale where we have permissions.

My province’s ill advised open elk hunt is putting hunting pressure on agriculture land adjacent to forest. Other areas are unpressured.

There’s a thermodynamic allusion, but it’s not the one that unlettered fool thinks it is.

And I know a little bit about thermodynamics.

Entropy sure has a lot to do with AI. The creation of gobs of low-value 0s and 1s - I dare not say ‘data’ - from a pillaged library of low and high quality work … is surely a sign of increased entropy of the universe.

Near St Denis, also last week.

And yes, I need a better camera.

Tbh, it’s broken down there.

That’s what we thought - we were camping at Namekus in mid-October, and did the same trail. Water was harder on your visit.

This was a really good appointment.

We were worried that BernieCat was starting her slow fade away, as it looked that she was starting to lose weight.

No - we just have to humongous boy cats (14# each), so Bernie’s diminutive 7# looked slight in comparison.

I was in Branford briefly in October. I was surprised to see how much was still named after that person.
