SAAB Aerospace manufacturing the Gripen is looking for partners in Canada and Brazil to build and speed up production and providing a desperately needed air shield over Ukraine.There are ongoing plans to manufacture the Gripen domestically in Ukraine aswell. War doesn't wait for anyone.

When Zelensky says the Gripen will be ready for action in Ukraine in 2026 already we must assume he means the older version Gripen C/D. Sweden will have a surplus of some 40-60 fighters in 2026-27 once they supplied the Swedish Airforce with 60 Gripen E.
