I think we are going to have to figure how to coexist with AI and still derive pleasure from doing stuff, even though the AI may be able to do (some or all of) it faster and "better"... thoughts?

On the other side of this are the AI evaluations and recommendations. The computer might say "Oh I would do this", or you're doing great, but it leaves the human having to figure out 5 hard-to-find moves in a row. Hikaru Nakamura (chess superstar) mentions it often youtu.be/ywUBFGrCVnw?...

AI also changed the game. Players can now explore new moves faster and more easily. Players can come prepared (prep) with a line that takes their opponent a lot of time to figure out, and gives them an early advantage. "Bad" moves (non-optimal) are played to take their opponent off their "prep".

Chess became so much more accessible to everyone. Stockfish along with sites like @chess.com allow anybody to gain 10 years of experience by the time they are 8 :). Gukesh, the new world chess champion, is 18 :).
