Hi Kevin! I hope you have a nice tank that includes a small filter or at least several plants. I don't like when people keep betta's just in a small bowl, they can survive but it's not so nice. From a neighborhood ichthyologist.

Plan on things that eat algae. I have a small tank on a windowsill but it has snails as well as several aquatic plants that take up extra nutrients. You could also get some Plecos or other algae eaters.

OK, this is sad, but it's getting super cold here and for a minute I thought you meant ice like frozen water.
