A Rosa x xanthina rose in flower just now. I do love these early Chinese roses and similar near hybrids. They don't reflower but sometimes bhear hips. Back ones.

Seed raised Amelanchier alnifolia from an Alpine Garden Society seed distribution. A dwarf form. Shrublet. On my plot, in flower now. Quite like this. Sets berries but I never get any. Wood pigeons eat the lot.

Much more dull and cloudy early on. Two front yards. To the fore some kind of Restio family plant. Can't say I like them. Ordinary grasses more elegant. European Fan Palm - Chamaerops humilis. Furthest away Chamaerops humilis cerifera - N African 'blue' version.

It is Mexican Orange Blossom time
From the originall species Choisya ternata to the various hybrids. Siuch as this Choisya x dewitteana Aztec Pearl as here. Grows well in sun or shade. Scented. May flower 3 times in one growing season. #choisya #aztecpearl
