To be fair WhatsApp is dodgy. I would rather they used something more open source like Signal. Might encourage more people to give up the corporate machine that is Meta.

I've not seen the Precursor before. Sweet looking device. I'm holding out for the Mecha Comet at the mo. Does that Precursor have some sort of LoRa chip in it?
