My art skills have been shaky. With this account, I want to dedicate time to improvement.

So if you decide to follow me, you'll be seeing plenty of that journey, plus my thought process, plus a ton of artists and devs making cool shit that I retweet, repost, whatever. Feels weird to say repost because it sounds like something else. But you know what I mean.

Point is, 2026 I'm out here.

The compromise I hope is that even if I'm some amateur coder, at least Tuxemon will get some cool additional art out of it. I'm willing to make specfically those open source. Meanwhile I have my own characters for the game I want to make, with years of contemplation behind most of them. I'm excited.

And yes, Tuxemon is pygame. yes it's an 10 year old project. But after I feel confident in what I've learned, I want to contribute to it. Not trying to get in the way though. That's why I would also be making my whole setting and lore as a separate thing, just utilizing their open source monsters.

The goal is to make games. Some of what I learn will be useful elsewhere no doubt and I do like drawing overall.

I wanna make a monster catcher game. An idea I've messed around with, told people about, even showed notes regarding, since 2014.

It turns out there's a faster path. Tuxemon.

I'll also be streaming some things in this regard since...well as I said elsewhere, I don't have a computer with a graphics card right now.

So if I am doing game dev, least you know I'm trying to optimize any product for a weak laptop.

Where will I stream? Probably a mix of Twitch and Picarto.

That's a lot. I know it's a lot. Idk what to say, life's short and I want to actually do things. This is the year to do it. And I'll keep myself disciplined in a few ways, much less that I'll be recording most steps for these educational ventures. Either private or publicly, uploaded to Youtube.

For music all I know is that I learned piano pretty fast, I love music in general, I have a midi keyboard, and my speakers are kinda bad.

Still, LMMS is free, as are more advanced music theory tutorials. So I already hade a foundation to build off of. Mostly a Hip-Hop/R&B guy, but we'll experiment.

Writing I'm weirdly comfortable in and I don't know why. I have not released a single work in this regard. I could be trash, which is why I want to learn more. My brain in this regard is less thinking in symbolism and more "Do these elements connect well with each other logically?" We'll see.

The art aspect I'll start from basics too, I don't care hw long I've been drawing. I've just been doing whatever. Only a vague sense of what looks right. So I'll be learning anatomy and color theory. Anatomy in both 2D and 3D sense with traditional drawing and Blender. One of the methods will stick.

The first aspect are websites. Want to be able to make those and customize blogs and whatnot. That's HTML, CSS, adn Javascript for the most part.

The second aspect is the game dev side. Which I will be after a lot of thinking, Rust and Godot. I might as well. Newcomers learn Rust better apparently.

Those are broad subjects though so let's break down what I even mean by just "learning coding". I've had a stop and start relationship for years at this point when learning these languages. Brain's all over the place because of it. I'm starting these all from the start. With notes and everything.

I'm treating this shit like school with varying subjects and less hours. Or more if I'm feelin myself that day. We are talking about coding, music, modeling, writing, and even traditional art. Art is probably the most I'm "trained" that and even then, meh. We're fixing that. I'm going all out.

I'm gonna be very blunt. I'm just fiving into the deep end of what I want to do. No more distractions. I'm just learning and experimenting. With what? Everything. I want to make games. Games consist of learning multiple subjects. In the past I've dabbled in many of them. But now it's time to focus.
