Ben dressed for winter. Oldest public library in the US. The library looks like an Italian palazzo. Ben Franklin donated books from his library to start this library. New England towns really appreciate their libraries. This is not FL or TX.

Boston. South Station built 1899. They have been talking about building above it for decades. It's finally happening and close to topping out. I like it.

York ME. The highest level of fun.

Jamaica Plain. Walking in the arboretum admiring the sideways shadows and light. You can escape it all, even in the middle of the city.

Boston. Cyndi Lauper's farewell tour. I have been feeling like this since the election. I cut down on watching the news. Increased my daily walking. It will get better....

Bratislava Slovakia. Soviet Realism may become the next big thing after January. You love it right?

Dorchester MA. My original home town. These fully restored 1940s street cars are only used on one tiny extension now. When I was a kid, they were used all over Boston. I snuck to downtown Boston on the subway without adults in the third grade. City life excited me then. It still does.

Lisbon. All the charm of bigger cities but less stress and friendly people. The hills eventually tired this happy hiker. Use Bolt instead of Uber. Very fast and affordable. Subway is just ok.

Vienna.

Immaculate and efficient. For €8 you can go anywhere for 24 hours. Extensive modern subway and followed up with trams on all major streets. This is how to run a city.
