Presumably you have to find five five-letter words which use 25 different letters between them, and one of them has to be the word the puzzle-setters have chosen!

I can’t actually remember. I use one vowel per guess, with combinations of ch, mp, ck, gh etc. That way if the answer has only one vowel (like this one did), you have a chance of avoiding it. Not sure it’s possible to find 20 different unused letters first, but I guess it could be.

They are. 15 different letters, then boom. Think I’ll retire now.
