I am a small voice in a million, but I want everyone who is scared right now to know that you are still, and always, loved.
Take care of yourself, be safe and be assured that you are not alone.

"It seemed to her that at a certain point on her way northward, the local cuisine started to shift the matter of seasoning from food to drink, much to her displeasure. But as long as she doesn't see a pepper mill or a bottle of chili oil on the bar counter it might still be okay."

I know Germany is not perfect as well, but here people have healthcare, they are part of the EU and are free to express themselves.
I may just be a nobody but I want to let those, who are scared know, they are not alone. Many people still care.

He showed her a few of the rooms he gave and or held seminars in and tried to relate a few of the historical anecdotes he had received during his time here. From them, Truth even learned a few new things, such as that Naur, despite his passion for storytelling, was absolutely lousy at history.

“Then, who was he?”
“I have no idea. And I have no desire to know. This is what the whole 'recognizable matter' law is for,” he explained. “All I know is, that this fella most likely did not die from old age. Everything beyond that is a secret between Necromancer and skeletal servant.”

“Alwyn had read every last one book in here at least once. Thick, tomes that they had once collected when they were caught in a history phase built a solid foundation of their collection. But that interest was in the past.“

"It seemed that Truth entered the pub a good time before its usual clientele. The smell of beer came yet only from the floorboards, and the few apparen guests' shouting was at such a reasonably low volume that it could not be heard from the street."

"From her small spot, she strolled through half-empty sideways and smaller, less lively streets, tipping against any odd stones that reached out of the road with her walking stick. After years of walking the same route, she made up her own melody, using every odd stone hit for the tact."

"Dozens of music sheets lay scattered over the surface, some of them covered in a telling layer of dust. Next to the desk, put inside a well-crafted wooden showcase was Truth's Awacsa. Naur took a few curious glances at the instrument and the papers."

"Slowly, the silent fire turned on itself, and small bright sparks flew off into the night sky. She heard Naur mumbling about how the spell was made and which runes it consisted of. Maybe it was the tutor in him, she thought, but that part did not interest her as much."

"Then, after almost two weeks on the road, the two came across a large river. Its strong currents that crashed against stone and thick sheets of ice had already been audible from a long distance. If Truth would not have known better, she might have thought that she was somehow back in Seaguard."

"As it turned out, as much as Naur might have traveled the world and as many cities, mountains, or beaches, he might have seen, he never bothered to learn how to read a map. One might even say that the scale on a map quite literally outscaled the wanderer."

"Can I help you?"

Still taken aback, Truth needed a moment to formulate words, or at least sounds. Patiently, the stranger waited. "I was wondering," she finally began; and ended.

"People tend to do that."

"As he thought of an answer, he reminisced about Eaglis, the capital of the country, and to his greatest resentment, the city where he works. He was always struck in a disturbed wonder, why someone would ever get the idea to build a gigantic wall around their own city."

"Only after the Bard got her own beverage and tuned in the in this part of town famous 'Beer get me my Dear' the first people began to howl along. The text was simple enough that even those, who did not know the song, mainly being Truth, could sing along quickly."

"Sure, sometimes she would think of the ifs, the woulds, and other conditionals, but these thoughts she put off with a 'Later' note attached to them. Maybe one day, when there is no more free space for any more notes, it can be forgotten."
