Minister: Finland plans to change its track gauge to European standard
Finland's track gauge is the same as Russia's was in the late 19th and early 20th century— 1,524mm — which is 89mm wider than the European standard.

Russian society is built upon domination, the rule of the strong over the weak, and a democratic and westernized Ukraine is a mortal threat to their entire worldview. Until Russia comes to terms with this, it can only be contained, no real durable peace is possible.

It's not so much that Russia is evil, but that it is completely unhinged and obsessed with conquering, punishing and subjugating Ukraine. Russia is sick. It's like trying to reason and put boundaries with a crazy possessive ex that is armed to the teeth, and happens to live across the road.
