As part of our new Royal Society of Chemistry public engagement initiative Under the Microscope LIVE, we visited South Nottinghamshire Academy to showcase SEM imaging to a group of Y12 scientists.

One of the items imaged was a fossilised Mosasaur tooth, which was found in Morocco.

Using the Philips XL30 SEM, our laboratory support #technician (and Panthers superfan) Sally Schofield captured stunning electron microscope images revealing the hidden details of these essential pieces of hockey gear.
