@uofgravity.bsky.social
We are the Institute for Gravitational Research at @UofGlasgow.bsky.social, the
UK centre of gravity for #gravitationalwaves research!
That's a wrap!
We've had hundreds of talks from scientists from all across the world over the last two weeks, but it's finally time to say goodbye.

On behalf of everyone on the organising committee, thank you for coming!

Tonight @cmundell.bsky.social is delivering a public lecture here in Glasgow for the #GR24Amaldi16 conference, where we're learning about the ambitions of @esa.int to further gravitational wave science with the future LISA observatory.

Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli FRSE, Principle of the University of Glasgow, welcomes us to the conference, and reminds us that Glasgow is a friendly city as well as a world-leading city of science.

It's a slightly wet and rainy start to GR-Amaldi, but we're excited to see everyone arriving, and to be the world's centre of gravity for the next week

Our GR-Amaldi activities continue today as we host our Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in the round reading room at @uofglasgow.bsky.social.

We're aiming to add and improve pages about gravitational scientists, especially from under-represented groups.

We're preparing to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the first detection of gravitational waves in September.
