Within the same hour, the Israeli military claimed its soldiers had “identified a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line.” Whether this statement referred to the toddler remains unclear; however, similar language has repeatedly been used by the Israeli military following its shooting of Palestinian children. Israel's genocide and siege of Gaza never ended. The so-called "cease-fire" and Yellow Line merely conceal Israel's atrocities from the view of the global public, acting as a fraudulent promise to the international community and to Palestinians that the genocide is over. Through the ongoing theft of land and denying Palestinians access to their homes and right to rebuild, Israel is carrying forward its systematic effort to erase the Palestinian people.
