Just some old bones trying to maintain sanity and sense of purpose while the machines try to steal their soul.
I've laughed out loud frequently while reading The Road to Mars by Eric Idle. If you like Eric Idle's brand of clever wordplay and absurdist humor with a satirical lens it's a real treat. I don't often re-read books but I've come back to this one a few times.

Apparently he didn't want to have to kill the guy (which Teddy probably wouldn't think twice about to his advantage in a battle royale).

I think this artist really captured the sense of "f*ck this - that guy is huge".

I think it's probably Teddy as well, but Lincoln would definitely have a chance with his reach and wrestling experience.

What struck me when listening to this is that LLMs- because they are only rehashing other people's input collected over time- function in an inherently culturally regressive fashion. By giving over our creativity to them it seems inevitable that we as a society are on a path to societal decline.

I love the little wave and wink 💜 I used to be creeped out by possums, but your posts have helped me come around (along with learning that they eat hella' ticks - which is a blessing too as all).

While that may be true, we can enforce copyright laws and bring back environmental regulations that make them too expensive to continue to use.

Thank you for this illuminating video. While working beside immigrants in my Whole Food years I heard horror stories from people in the restaurant industry too- many who lived in cities and were housed in squalid apartments owned by their employers- and I fear how this impacts the whole food chain.

A lot of straight guys would benefit from a stroker AND bell hooks. The power is in their hands!

Can't say I sleep well, but the Tart Cherry I take at night helps a lot. It stimulates melatonin production & helps with inflammation. If it ends up working the concentrate we get through Fruit Fast (Brownwood Acres) works great at a good price but you have to buy a fair amount to get free shipping

This was a very illuminating video (now I understand kilowatt hours!) and thank you for talking about the absurdity of using corn for ethanol. Corn is a wonderful crop with a myriad of good uses from food, textile, compostable dishware, etc, but using it for ethanol is ridiculously inefficient.

Well put. It's a system well designed for making everyone from top to bottom miserable no matter their level of material comfort. We can do so much better.

I think stoking jealousy is a more effective tool to control the comfortable middle to upper middle class. Instead of recognizing their comfort and reaching out a hand to the suffering, their envy convinces them they are the ones suffering from a lack of luxury consumer goods.

It warms my heart everyday to see your dog friends and to know that you all take such good care of each other. We have some neglected pooches next door and I'm frequently tempted to kidnap them to take them on walks. Also that is an absolutely gorgeous table.
