Also read the Super Mario Adventure comics, honestly probably one of the best full length Mario stories aside from the rpgs with a lot of memorable moments, fun characterization, and really charming art style. This is the type of story I want to see adapted to film.

Also it doesn't pull from only from Galaxy so it's a Super Mario Galaxy (+ Others) Movie and that pisses off the little girl in me. I dunno I still feel like your best bet for a Mario movie is an ova. It got a new fan-made english dub so it's a great time to check it out. youtu.be/Iexc86cEnuc?...

The Mario Galaxy looks fine but the trailer does feel like "look it's everything you love from the games!" but that doesn't make a good movie. When I see a Mario movie I don't want to see things I'm familiar with I want to watch Mario go on a new adventure made for film.

Something interesting I noticed about a lot of the recent big Mario titles and other games that feature Mario characters like DK Bananza and Peach Showtime is their focus on transformations.
