I hate hate hate that articles like this frame the fact that Wilson doesn't own a car and is a renter like it's a bad thing. It's ridiculous but also enforces the notion that such people aren't qualified to lead our city.
A quote from the Washington Post article: Who is Wilson? She does not own a car. She lives in a rented 600-square-foot apartment with her husband and two-year-old daughter. By her own account, she depends on checks from her parents back east to cover expenses. To let them off the hook, she seeks to force residents of Seattle to pay for “free” child care and other goodies.

Stopped during my run to investigate the King 5 tower and its lack of holiday lights.

Seattle does not have enough public restrooms. Cheering on this one under construction on the waterfront.
A public restroom under construction. Only one wall is up. It starts as white tile on top, then a third of the way down there are different colored tiles in vertical strips going across. The other three walls are just steel bars. There is a chain link fence between the construction area and the sidewalk, and three traffic cones in front of it.
