Part of what let fires spread as quickly as they did was the large number of old, primarily timber construction houses that lined a previously vegetated hillside ecosystem
What happened here was an unfathomable tragedy made worse by poor land use policy pushed by councilors like Paladino.

I think the “male loneliness epidemic” can be 20-50% solved if men stop treating every social interaction like a balance sheet where they need to somehow come out ahead.

So true Ed! We should eliminate street parking and expand the lane on the right into a protected bus and bike lane. This will also allow free passage for emergency first responders and encourage residents to take more efficient modes of transit
