I don’t even know what ”our” values are anymore. I thought I did, but nooooooooo. I was misled and very incorrect until around 2018. After Mike Harris, I should have known better. I should have vastly underestimated and expected the worst of us as a province and country.

We should not have been relying on unwritten norms to sustain our values. People like Smith, Ford et cet don’t have values outside of “is there anything in it for me? And can I harm enough people? If yes, let’s goooooo! Break everything in sight and take only cash or bribes, let’s goooooo!”

This is just awful. Very agreed. What a terrible time and the most inane clause to have ever been claused. It cancels out democracy and humanity. So much damage. Why did no one even bother to contemplate, “But there may be villains and morally bankrupt people who use this for baaaad, maybe no?“
