I was just asking a question, though your answer certainly raises more.

It's spreading like a disease.

Her face and ears flush at the kiss. The warmth of affection was so much more pleasant than anything her powers could replicate.

"I'm finding myself with more and more free time these days. I could use new problems to occupy my mind before I go and make some of my own."

"Maybe..."

She hums, softly swaying their hands back and forth.

"I'll have to remember to ask the next time we're talking."

"In fact... the seeds could've already been in the soil, and wouldn't necessarily need an outsiders help.

They would've just been waiting for the right conditions, possibly for years. Usually, I'd say that it's impossible to know... but in this case we can just ask them."

they do not care what plans a person might have. they work on a different timescale. in a world with different rules.

She shrugs.

"Do they ask the dandelions that grow in their flower beds how they got there too?

If I had to guess, I would say they got here the same way as most unintended plants: a small seed hitched a ride on a person or animal."

"I would not recommend pulling them, and they're very polite. I don't understand why they need to leave.

They hardly appear to be the meat-eating variety, and I think the extra source of apothecarial knowledge is worth the price of fertilizer."

"Of course. I'd never make waves." She says, making little effort to hide the laughter in her voice.

"Also... the talking plants that showed up in the courtyard are not my fault. I did not invite them.

They are quite pleasant conversationalists, however."

She lets out a pleased sigh when they finally part from the kiss and reaches out to take Ril's hand in her own.

"I think the argument can be made that you altered more than just one world's course. I can't say I could've ever predicted ending up here from where we started."

I don't understand how this is my fault.

(She grins as she gets closer to Ril, leaning up to press a kiss to the woman's jaw.)

I would never do anything to distract you.
