Today was a good one. I celebrated Black History Month with my Girl Scout troop. We all got to enjoy stories, music, artwork, food and inventions thanks to Black Americans. They were joyful, inquisitive and moved to dance collectively by the music. Please resist however you can.

In my cough36cough years as a Girl Scout, I've volunteered at cookie booths in three different states. Yesterday, I had the most important conversation with a customer yet. Thread /1

I love talking to young adults at professional offices. They're no nonsense & annoyed by my old lady questions. I need to submit paperwork I haven't done for 12 years back with certified mail. Rolling her eyes (I assume), she said "can't you just take a picture with your phone and upload it?" 🤦🤣😭

Taking the kids to a MLK Day of Service event, ice skating with friends, dance classes & cheering on Notre Dame. I rarely pull out my alumna card, but I want today remembered for the first Black & Korean coach led team, called the Irish, crowned champions. What goodness do you have going on today?

I'm struggling with how to use this platform. I never cared for Twitter and much prefer the community building opportunities at FB and Instagram to some extent. I keep thinking about how we built those communities out of nothing and can't be isolated during this time.
