Since 2008, cities, businesses, and individuals have established pinwheel gardens during April to commemorate April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The pinwheels symbolize healthy, happy childhoods, and raise awareness of the need to prevent child abuse and neglect in our community.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE. A sanitary and storm sewer project in Cleveland Heights will result in a road closure for approximately four weeks, starting April 2.

South Taylor Road will be closed to northbound traffic north of Cedar Road at the City Line. Southbound traffic will be reduced to a one lane.

RING, RING! With respect to the parking garage peel back, Bell Tower Center reports plans are being drawn. The goal is to complete the peel back by this fall.

New LED lighting is now being installed.

Work is being done to the former Tops Grocery space for remodeling into Urban Air Adventure Zone.

RING! Bell Tower Center has two new businesses under contract.

Qdoba Mexican Eats has leased the space in the outparcel plaza facing WCR, by the Verizon store, where Coldstone Creamery and GNC used to be.

Coming to the other end of this plaza is Smoothie King.

This bag is now available when you purchase items from local retailers including Green Road Liquor, Sherwin Williams and Bialy’s Bagels in University Heights.

University Heights today teamed up with our friends at John Carroll University to host a meeting of the First Suburbs Consortium. Mayors and staff heard a presentation from the Cuyahoga Land Bank.
