I vote to abolish the game changers list (in name) and create a “rule zero” list of cards to mention you’re playing at pregame discussions. Then you could do away with restrictions and say “players expect to see ~X (number of) cards from the rule zero list”

Players are losing sight of intent. Design pushes power and the newest best-in-slot cards to a point where some of my bracket 2 games are ending on turn five!

The bracket system needs clear, concise heuristics to guide player intent. Pregame conversations are useless as they always miss something.

Great video. Funny, though… I see the Metagame as an unstable equilibrium (where one or the other extreme is favored). Green ramp succeeds because it’s the best at what the meta pushes.

Consider how gramp would fare, though, at a table with 3 aggro decks that skip ramp and put out early threats…

Then we are cooking

Yep I have foils from Urza’s Destiny that are in better condition than out-of-the box EOE foil cards, I’ll wager

Here’s an idea:

“Whenever an opponent taps one or more lands for mana, if they control more lands than you, put a stun counter on target land that player controls.”
