I eventually downloaded the app with the purpose to leave my mark on there, despite the fact that I never used it at all. Genuinely, I respect the app for being more than just a social media app, it was a platform for anyone to spread their messages and inspire others. I tip my hat to you TikTok

Eventually I really never grew investing into TikTok as I had other influences and communities on other apps but I would still reference TikTok as a major catalyst for a more unified society in troubling times. At the end I respected it and I ended up downloading the app, but not for using it

As people stayed home, many communities formed in the app and TikTok became more of a platform for inspiration and community while also being used to spread news before the traditional outlets would do so. Certainly this change would make me consider downloading the app, but no.

As 2020 arrived, I still refused to download the app because of my previous sentiments but eventually it started disappearing once the pandemic hit hard everywhere, I would later find out from close friends that TikTok is more than just cringe dances and dangerous challenges. It was a powerful tool.

When the app launched here it was around 2018-2019 and I would hear all those news about people hurting themselves because of some dumb challenge they found online and it was very cringy like I cannot phantom myself using the app. I felt like it’s a platform for attention seekers with problems.
