A much-loved mobile coffee and cake business based at Danebury Hillfort could be at risk following a proposed decision by Hampshire County Council to introduce parking charges at the site. Amerleys, a converted horse box turned coffee shop, has been trading from the bottom car park of the historic hillfort since December 2023. Owned and run by local entrepreneur Amerley Saville, the small business has grown into more than just a place to grab a hot drink — it has become a community hub for dog walkers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts.
