I think the nature of Star Trek is pushing boundaries, trying new ideas, teasing modern and future philosophy while mixing that with new types of storytelling and technology - so it is a part of the core Star Trek formula that a significant portion of Star Trek crashes and burns in the experiment.

Hijab Butch Blues is beautifully relatable. It's raw and weaves the writer's life experiences with Islamic stories in a way anyone with a Muslim upbringing will appreciate, while also challenging what they could mean. A story of love, loss, and community. One I'll be thinking about for years to come
