These link cards are a standard thing for places like here, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn and the “bad place.” Could @libsyn.com please try to bring their side of the technology to a workable standard?

@libsyn.com support says they do this to save server space and bandwidth even though it is less than standard. They say they will recommend a change to dev so I’m not holding breath. Look up any Libsyn links on here from other podcasters. All blurry.

The episode image is predominantly for podcast services like Apple. @libsyn.com then compresses that image down to 200px x 200px for use on link cards. The recommended minimum long side for a link card is 1200px. You can’t scale up a 200px image to 1200px without blurring.
