I shall assume that's an insult, and that you therefore have nothing of value to say on the subject.

What the hell order have these ended up in?!

I also don't know how replying to threads on BlueSky works!

...and it's not clear what point she was attempting to make by drawing it, which has led some to conclude that the point was to down-play the 'prejudice' experienced by some groups.

I don't necessarily disagree with the distinction that she was attempting to draw by saying that, but I think it's at least arguably true that she has drawn it clumsily...

As far as I'm aware, she has, in fact, said that certain groups experience 'prejudice' and not 'racism'.
July 18, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Perhaps not, but I don't think this is about the feelings of white people as a group. It's about the feelings of the minority groups whose experience of racism she appeared to be down-playing, or, indeed, denying (and yes, some of those minority groups include white people)

Not been following it that closely, but my understanding is that people are concerned that she's at least not been sufficiently careful to avoid the appearance of down-playing other people's lived experience of racism.

What a wonderful exchange! A blueprint for a better society if ever I saw one. Now, it's spelled (or more normally here in the UK, spelt) 'grammar'. The capital G is unnecessary, and the comma should probably be a colon, otherwise it sounds like you're apologising to a grammar nerd 🤓

People of all nations who migrate to Britain still consider themselves to have the nationality of their birth, while also considering themselves British. I don't see why it should be different for migration within the UK specifically.

Interesting. However: a) That research makes some big assumptions; b) I tend to think of people who migrate to Wales as Welsh (much as I think of people who migrate to Britain as British)
