Gender issue in Korea reminds me a movie called "82년생김지영(Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982)". It portrays the invisible pressures faced by women balancing work, motherhood, and social expectations. The protagonist, Jiyoung, is not a radical feminist. She is an ordinary woman trying to live a “normal life.”

For me, Your Name Engraved Herein is not only a love story between two boys. It's about a whole generation learning to love while love is not allowed. The story takes place in 1987, after Taiwan's martial law ended. Society was starting to change, but people's mind was still limit in old traditions.

The reason why Korea has able to develop esport industry to such a large scale lies in its industrial transformation after the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Korean government boldly move away from a manufacturing-based economy and began to heavily invest cultural industry, like K-pop, K-drama,esport.

I have watched all of the series of Ip Man. The character of Ip Man shows the typical Asian paternal authority of dads, who is taciturn, reserved and not expressive. But they love their family deep in their heart. The film combines father's love and national sentiment.

As a Taiwanese person, our culture of masculinity is similar because we have same history. The show 'Where Are We Going ' depict the “ideal father” should look like: masculine but also emotionally expressive.

Korean coffee culture really surprised me that I have never seen more than ten coffee shop in a street. Korean people drink even at night. I am curious that how they can get a good sleep at night. People can date, social, on business or study in the coffee space.

After COVID-19, Kpop in Taiwan revived. In recent years, there are more and more concerts held in Taiwan. Fan don’t need to fly to another country to meet their idols.
It makes fans has low threshold to approach their idols. That thus the tickets more precious.

As an east Asian people, I would say that Chinese&Japanese&Korea culture affect us everyday.

From early morning, Japanese or Korean anime played on TV. We eat breakfast with the anime. So, when we are children, we listening different language and watching different culture.

I think Korean people can accept for Chinese elements in K-pop.Korean people are open-minded that compare to Chinese people. Admitting and acknowledging the past history is how Korean people do.

Japanese education is similar to Taiwan.
But we don’t have to take off the shoes before entering school. I like the part which the love letters falling down from the shoe cabinet, it’s lovely to confession in this way.

I think producers of popular culture spread culture, but commercialization makes the gap between rich and poor bigger. Mainstream culture gets more attention, while weaker ones like indigenous or traditional culture are left out. This seems to be the result of commercialization.
