Not all games, no. Concord had to be a liveservice, but games like suicide quad or marvels avengers would have been better projects if more devtime was spent on making the game fun instead of having to focus on seasonal content & skins. Imagine this devtime was spent on the next GoW title instead.

Live service is more sought after yes, but only the top few games are making these huge amounts of money. Every company who thought live service was the future of gaming have pushed out several titles and almost all of them have failed. The only recent success story is marvel rivals as far as know
