Unfortunately some billionaire bought up everything up ten years ago and made it all kinda homogenous. I went back in 2023 and the cafe wasn’t there anymore. Instead there were about 15 stores selling the same plastic shoes.

There used to be a sprawling bookshop/cafe in the Victorian stables at Camden in London. It didn’t have a door, just shelves and stacks of books. Occasionally the owner would play the piano and sing. I could never find it on purpose, only by meandering.

Lived abroad for 3 years, had to come back when my visa was expiring. Have spent the past 9 years trying to find a way to qualify for a different visa so I can go back

Every time this happens I call up the office and I’m like “why did this happen??” And they say “still working out the bugs with the new AI! Lol! Lmao! ;)))“ and offer no kind of apology nor promises to do better.

Imagine my annoyance when I received $900 in bills from my dentist, only to find that the office had recently ported over to an AI manager, which for some reason was repeatedly replicating billings that had already been paid. I continued to receive reminders and past-due notices for several months.

Imagine my distress after eight years of trying to get a therapy referral, for an AI tool to step in and send me to the children’s hospital. I’m 35. They won’t treat me. And the AI tool can’t create a new referral because as far as it’s concerned, it did its job and closed the ticket.
